Still stucked writing this bachelor thesis about commercial fishery and conservation of seabirds in Portugal. I'm studying management of natural resources of tropical and subtropical areas, so my topic should perfectly fit in the course. But as our course is based on faculty with deeply rooted forestry tradition I have met a lot of disapproval about the content of my work and its link to our course. Of course this could have been expected, still, when one of my professor asked me with her nose up: "Could you please explain to me and your collegues, how it happened that your bachelor thesis topic was approved at the faculty?" all my confidence dissapeared and only now, 2 months later I could find some courage to start explaining.  But why? How is it possible that people (I wish it was only professors) involved in nature still don't feel the connections between all elements in the nature? How can someone even ask about this?
